THREE IDIOTS:Teacher Parents And Students

I saw 3 idiots and realised that it is another dejavu!!! Every indian will identify him or her for all those who studied in India for last 50 years. It is not so easy to accept but still i believe that Aamir khan rushes to people befoer they could experience the thirll and fun of it. The HIRANI effect is different but true it is a global collage of chetan bhagat hirani and aamir team.
i have added review from KOlkkata which is more relevent.
The film reminded me of another film by Kamal Hassan i.e. jarasi Jindagi!

HERE IS THE REVIEW OF THE FILM
Rancho (Aamir Khan), Farhan (R Madhavan) and Raju (Sharman Joshi) are the 3 idiots - classmates in a top engineering college and closest pals. Rancho is a gadget freak, who opens up refrigerators, car batteries, computers - everything that can be called a machine. He is a rare beast in a cutthroat competitive environment who goes around telling people that education is to open up people’s minds, not to them degree-holding automatons. He even ends up making an ingenious generator, which is named Virus, after Viru Sahasrabuddhe, the college’s Hitler-like principal (Boman Irani).

Again and again he shows his friends that they will excel in what they like doing best, and what they do from the heart, not what they do because of pressures to compete and attain worldly success. Very eminently Munnabhai. But even as we begin to see Munnabhai superimposed on Rancho, there is a twist in the tale. Rancho turns out to be someone else, and the two other idiots embark on a quest for this third one- to know who he really was, and to prove to themselves that their life together had taught them to be different men. (This review is very neatly put up on web)

I have realised that three idiots in the current context are TEACHER PARENT AND STUDENT ALL STRIVING FOR SOMETHING WHICH HAS NO ROOT AT SOIL BUT IN MINDS!
One has to accept modestly the starck reality of life!
And before i forget R Madhavan is the thriteenth in the list of his college rather our college.

13) Shri R Madhavan A very famous artist in South Indian films, TV Serials

Internet's 40th anniversary

Internet's 40th anniversary celebrated in US
Fri, Oct 30 12:35 PM
San Francisco, Oct 30 (IANS) The 40th anniversary of the birth of the Internet was celebrated in the US with events being organised at the University of California and the Computer History Museum in Los Angeles to mark the occasion.
Industry leaders, researchers and analysts, among others, attended the function at the California University Thursday, Xinhua reported.
Computer science professor of the university, Leonard Kleinrock, who on Oct 29, 1969 headed a team to send the first message over the ARPANET, which later came to be known as Internet, also attended the event.
'The moment the Internet was born, ushered in a technological revolution that has transformed communications, education, culture, business and entertainment across the globe, leading to dramatic change in our social, political and economic lives,' the university said in a statement.
Activities were also planned at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, to mark the occasion.
'The 1969 connection was not just a symbolic milestone in the project that led to the Internet, it connected computers and eventually billions of people to each other,' Marc Weber, founding curator of the museum's Internet History Programme, said in a statement.
'In the 1960s, a few hundred users could have accounts on a single large computer using terminals, and exchange messages and files between them. But each of those little communities was an island, isolated from others,' Weber noted.
'By reliably connecting different kinds of computers to each other, the ARPANET took a crucial step toward the online world that links nearly a third of the world's population today,' he said.
Four decades after its birth, the Internet is seen by some to have encountered some kind of middle-age crisis. But others argue that it is still in the early stage of innovations.
At a symposium hosted this month by market research firm Gartner, Eric Schmidt, chief executive officer of Internet search giant Google, said he envisions a radically changed Internet five years from now.
In the next five years, the Internet is expected to be dominated by social media content, delivered over super-fast bandwidth in real time, he predicted.
'It's because of this fundamental shift towards user-generated information that people will listen more to other people than to traditional sources. Learning how to rank is the great challenge of the age,' Schmidt said.

Hey Kolhapur is changing!

I wish to inform all the visitors that The way you look at Kolhapur has to be changed and the e revolution has finally reached the collector office.
I remember when i ws trying to publicise internet connectivity and meet people in 19996 nobody was willing to listen to me. I met somebody in nicnet kolhapur office but at that time the nicenet was a bit conservative and they had alot of protocol so the connectivity could not be discussed. At that time BSNL was very active and Mr Sanyal was the man who took the initiative to support the activity and made us create a resoultion at KCCI ( Kolhapur Chamber Of Commerce & Industries) to get internet connectivity through NICNET.An application was sent through Hon Sadashivrao Mandalikji to SUshama Swaraj the then minister for this portfolio and in 1999 Kolhapur was added in first 92 cities to be connecetd via internet backbone.
I was checking for the data of kolhapur and saw dist collecotrs website i was surprised to see Mr deshmukh's blog with a very sincere appeal.
I remember vasant manwadkar's guest book of Kolhapur.com where all those who have left kolhapur used to coment that kolhapur is not soft city but a very hasrh city.
Now the flow is growing the nests are being emptied and many fathers and mothers waiting for their sons and daughters regret for not being in Pune or so..
Actually this is high time for the IT to come to Kolhapur.
Thank god the colllector is at least connected to this part of globe and this time Kolhapur will not miss the bus.
